Synopsis
Times of great change need new options, new choices for business and society, because many of our accepted approaches are outmoded and no longer effective. We must increase innovation significantly and to do this we must conceive of new approaches that improve the quality of ideas and increase the range of people able to participate in innovation. In his talk, Change By Design, Tim Brown talks about how Design Thinking is just such an approach. He shows how this human centered, systems based, divergent and prototype driven methodology is being used by business, government and civil society. Using examples from many sectors, including clean water access, education, financial services, telecommunications and healthcare, Brown inspires us to take a creative approach to tackle some of the world’s more pressing problems.
